I’m Brittany Joie, a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist exploring human expression, color theory, and the concept of micro-sanctuaries. My practice is rooted in creating contemplative spaces — through illustration, mixed media, and site-specific work — that invite pause, stillness, and beauty within the speed of modern life.

After years of working in design and advertising, I chose to depart from the pursuit of mass communication and turn toward intimacy and reflection. This shift guides my focus on travel, community, and stillness as sources of inspiration. My work blends gestural mark-making, atmospheric palettes, and a sense of place to create art that feels like both a refuge and a conversation.
